Dr. Robert M. Shirley is a board-certified general surgeon at Southwest Surgical Associates, serving Sugar Land and the greater Houston area. A native of Oklahoma, he studied at Texas Tech University and completed his residency in Kentucky. After nine years of practice in East Texas, he relocated to Sugar Land to be closer to family. Dr. Shirley specializes in general, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities, coaching his son, and volunteering on medical missions in Ecuador and Malawi.
