Mark Provenzano, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, and knee and shoulder surgery. In addition to certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Provenzano has a sub-specialty certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. Provenzano graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in biology and psychology. Dr. Provenzano completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the same institution. He received the Harrington Award for excellence in orthopedic surgery while serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Provenzano is the founding member of The Orthopedic Sports Clinic, and has been instrumental in developing a full-service sports clinic, encompassing elite certified surgeons, experienced certified rehabilitation specialists, certified physician assistants, diagnostics including digital x-ray and MRI, all on site. Dr. Provenzano is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a member of multiple professional societies at the local, state, and national level.
