Dr. Shawn E. Johnson is a board‑certified orthopedic surgeon and U.S. Army veteran who has practiced since 2008. A Houston native, she graduated from Jack Yates High School before earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Exercise & Sports Science and Biology (minoring in Chemistry) from Southwest Texas State University, and her M.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center. Selected for the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program, she served nearly a decade on active duty—including two combat deployments—and completed her orthopedic residency and a sports medicine fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Now practicing at Austin County Orthopedics, Dr. Johnson provides direct, specialist orthopedic care to Greater Houston.
