Dr. John Abdelsayed is a board-certified general and colorectal surgeon at Southwest Surgical Associates in Sugar Land, Texas. A Houston native, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his general surgery residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Gold Humanism Award. He pursued advanced training in colon and rectal surgery, mastering robotic and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Abdelsayed specializes in treating colon and rectal cancer, gallbladder disease, and inflammatory bowel conditions with compassionate, patient-focused care.
