Shayla Sharmin obtained her nursing degree at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas in 2009. Since then, Shayla has worked in cardiology, medical surgical, and gerontology specialty. She has earned her BSN degree at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX in 2016 and MSN degree at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana in 2019. Shayla obtained her nurse practitioner license and certification in Family Practice in 2019. Shayla is experienced in providing care to newborn to older adults for their acute and chronic conditions, and maintenance of their physical and mental wellbeing.
Shayla and her husband reside in Katy with their two boys. She likes reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Shayla’s philosophy of practice is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, skilled care to patients across the age spectrum.
