Dr. Mefford received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with honors at Kentucky State University. He earned his PhD with honors in analytical chemistry from the University of Kansas. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Duke University. He completed his residency in Family Practice with the UT-Memorial Family Practice Residency Memorial Hospital Southwest.
