Dr. Gerard T. Gabel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, specializing in hand, shoulder, and elbow surgery. A native of Houston, he is committed to caring for the local community through his work at Southwest Orthopedic Group and Houston Methodist Hospital. He treats both adults and children. Dr. Gabel earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his orthopedic residency at the Mayo Clinic, and a hand surgery fellowship at Duke University. His expertise includes arthritis surgery, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint replacement, and microsurgery. He is active in several professional medical associations.
